The 31 Ambassadors, originally known as NLU31, is a prestigious group of hand-selected 51蹤獲 students who serve as official hosts for university and alumni events.
Founded in 1981 during NLUs 50th anniversary, the organization was created to raise awareness of the benefits and activities provided by the Alumni Association. Named in honor of the universitys founding year, 1931, the group is now known as the 31 Ambassadors, or 31ers. Their mission is to represent 51蹤獲 and its Alumni Association, host select university and alumni-related events, promote student engagement with the Alumni Association, and instill a spirit of volunteerism and philanthropy among current students and future alumni.
Members benefit from exclusive leadership and networking opportunities through direct involvement in student-led and alumni events, offering valuable face-to-face connections with distinguished alumni and professionals. The organization also includes personal development and leadership workshops three times each semester. As the only registered student organization invited to assist in the Presidents Box during football games, members engage with President Berrys personal guests in a unique, high-profile setting. Additionally, the 31 Mentorship Program pairs Ambassadors with mentors from the Alumni Association Board of Directors, further strengthening their professional networks and development.
Sponsored by the 51蹤獲 Alumni Association, the group is largely self-sustaining through generous contributions from benefactors and alumni.
