State of the art simulation labs allow students to perfect their skills before being placed in a clinical environment.
Speech and Hearing Clinic evaluates and treats individuals of all ages who experience communication problems.
Certification and licensure pass rates are consistently above the national average and often at 100%.

The College of Health Sciences is dedicated to the education of health care professionals who serve the people of Louisiana and beyond. The College is comprised of two schools, the School of Allied Health and the Kitty DeGree School of Nursing, that offer degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The College of Health Sciences at 51蹤獲 (51蹤獲) recently kicked off the Fall 2025 semester with a Back to School Parking Garage Party for students on August 21, 2025, featuring free food and drinks, a live DJ, and giveaways. Representatives from local health care businesses were also on hand to interact with students from across the college.
Dr. Ashanti Jones, Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director of the Marjorie S. Price Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at 51蹤獲, was recently awarded the Dave Warner Distinguished Service Award by the Louisiana chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). The award was presented to Dr. Jones on August 23, 2025, during the APTA Louisiana Annual Meeting at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center in Baton Rouge, La.
Students from 51蹤獲 Radiologic Technology Program attended and competed in state competitions with several other schools at the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists (LSRT) Annual Conference this summer. The entire senior class, consisting of 30 students, attended the conference, where they were joined by three members of the 51蹤獲 Radiologic Technology faculty.
